Premium travel is becoming a bigger part of Delta’s business, loyalty keeps gaining value and higher income travellers now account for most of the airline’s revenue. By H1 2026, premium ticket revenue had overtaken Main Cabin a year earlier than Delta originally expected.

Delta’s sports portfolio lines up closely with that shift. The Masters, PGA TOUR, Team USA, LA28, Madison Square Garden, the Lakers, Yankees, Knicks, Braves, Falcons, WNBA and NWSL all sit around customers who travel often, spend heavily on experiences and hospitality and become even more valuable once they enter SkyMiles and the American Express ecosystem.

The local strategy follows Delta’s airline network, with partnerships concentrated in the cities where the airline has the most to protect or grow. National properties such as golf, Team USA and the WNBA widen the reach beyond those hubs. Across the portfolio, sport can help sell flights, strengthen loyalty, support premium positioning, open corporate hospitality and even become part of the onboard experience.

Delta has spent years increasing the value of each customer. Its sports strategy is built around finding more of the right customers and giving them more reasons to keep choosing Delta.
