Qatar’s sports investments are spread across several organisations, each serving a different role across ownership, investment, athlete development, media and private capital.
QSI is the main sports owner and operator. It controls PSG and Premier Padel, acquired World Padel Tour, owns 29.60% of Braga’s football SAD and agreed to acquire Belgian club KAS Eupen from Aspire in December 2025. QSI’s public portfolio currently lists PSG, Braga, Premier Padel, World Padel Tour and PSG Qatar, but does not yet include Eupen or separately list PSG businesses across handball, judo, esports, academies and innovation.
QIA is the financial investor, with sports linked minority positions including Monumental Sports & Entertainment, Audi’s Formula 1 operation, MARI and WHOOP. Aspire focuses on athlete development, sports medicine, infrastructure and sports services, with Cultural Leonesa remaining within its football network.
beIN provides the media and distribution layer through beIN Sports, Digiturk and TOD, while Qatar Foundation holds institutional sports assets including Al Shaqab and Education City Golf Club.
Alongside these organisations sits separate private Al Thani family capital, including QIPCO, Qatar Racing, Qatar Bloodstock, Al Shaqab Racing, Wathnan Racing and Málaga CF.
